The view from Ryans' Studio St. Aloysius Church

Ryans' studio is located in a vintage warehouse in historic Pottstown, Pennsylvania. The 15 foot ceilings, towering arched windows and ample space make it an ideal place for woodworking. The studio is part a 120 year old building which is the focus of an ongoing renovation that will eventually include condominiums, artist studios, a bakery and a coffee shop. Ryan feels very much of a part of the renaissance taking place in Pottstown. He feels his own creative design efforts in woodworking are right in step with the re-energizing of the town itself.

Ryan is a native of Claremont California. Ironically, one of the most revered woodworkers, Sam Maloof, lived just 5 minutes away from him in Alta Loma. Heavily influenced by Maloof, Ryans' true love is sculptural furniture. Ryan takes great joy in creating by hand the composite curves and hard lines that are an integral part of these designs.
